Q. How do I get to the tournament? 

A. Contestants are required to park in the areas provided.

I-25 exit from the NORTH Hwy 105 left continue straight on Second Street west,
I-25 exit from the SOUTH Hwy 105 left turn on Second Street west. 

Second Street WEST across railroad tracks to Mitchell Road, left turn very short distance, right turn (small sign Monument Lake) on dirt road, follow down to lake.  There is parking near the lake; all over flow parking must park above the lake near the entrance.  Contestants are encouraged to car pool and use the buddy system. There are no shuttles.  No parking on the entrance road to lake it must remain open and clear for emergency vehicles.

Registration Opens: 7:30 am

Q. Where is the tournament? 

A. Near Downtown Monument, CO, on Monument Lake

Q. How do I get the tickets I bought online? 

A. Tickets purchased online or by mail prior to January 1, 2012will be mailed to you. If you purchase your tickets online or through the mail after January 1,2012 your tickets will be at the "Will Call" Officials Claim Shelter.

Q. How do I get help on and off the ice if I'm handicapped? 

A. If assistance or accommodations are needed to get onto the ice for handicapped people please request via prior event email.  There are not motorized vehicles allowed on Monument Lake.  There will be no shuttles running at this event.

Q. Can I bring my own beverages into the tournament area? 

A. Beverages are allowed as long as they are not in a glass container. NO GLASS CONTAINERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE. CONTAINERS WILL BE CONFISCATED AND NOT RETURNED. NO ALCOLOL will be allowed in the contest area. 

Q. Can a friend or family member come and watch me fish if they don't have a ticket? 

A. Spectators are allowed on the ice, including well-behaved children. The course is set up on a 10' by 10' grid hole pattern, so it is important that all spectators are well behaved and do not bother other fisherman . . . spectators not complying will be asked to leave. Be sure to bring an extra bucket or chair to make it easier for people to stay within your fishing area. 

Q. Can I use a fish locator or an under water camera? 

A. Electronics are ok to use before (as you are choosing the hole you will fish out of) and during the contest. This includes under water cameras as we are abiding by all State of Colorado Division of Wildlife Fishing Regulations. 

Q. How many holes can I reserve?

A. A contestant may reserve no more than 4 holes no earlier than 7:30 am. 

Q. How many fishing rods can I use simultaneously?

A. Each person will be allowed to fish one hole per ticket, two holes maximum.  Contestant must possess a fishing license and second rod permit to fish with two rods.

Q. Can I register more than one fish? 

A. You may register as many fish as you want but only the heaviest fish will remain in the contest, and each fisherman is allowed to win only one competition prize. 

Q. Where do I pick up my prize? 

A. ALL prizes can be picked up at the tournament Officials Shelter. 

Q. How many tickets are being sold to this year's Ice Fishing Challenge? 

A. This a first time event and the number of participants is not being limited.
